Unitshare

About

One pool.
Whole items. Clear decisions.

Unitshare helps you turn a fixed total and a set of relative weights into whole-number allocations that preserve the total.

The practical problem is familiar: boxes cannot be split into tenths, but proportional demand rarely produces integer shares. This tool exposes the rounding decisions instead of hiding them behind a final list. You can inspect the exact quota, its floor, the fractional remainder, the extra unit and the final count for every destination.

One method, with visible assumptions

The calculator implements largest remainders. Equal exact remainders favour earlier rows. There are no destination caps or minimum guarantees, and increasing the total can reduce one row's allocation. The guide gives original examples of each behaviour, so you can decide whether the method fits your use.

This is not a universal fairness score or an optimization service. A weight is an input you choose, not evidence of real demand. The tool cannot know whether a shelf, garden area or stock destination should receive that relative share. It also does not solve packing, scheduling or legally regulated allocation problems.

Local calculation, no account

After the page loads, the arithmetic runs in your browser. There is no login, file upload, payment or cloud save. Copying and optional downloads use only the current valid result. The implemented release has no analytics, advertising or consent-platform loader. Prepared ownership and publisher metadata do not establish advertising approval or earnings.

Checkable rather than mysterious

Decimal weights are parsed into exact scaled integers. Fractional remainders are compared without floating-point rounding; tied values are resolved using the visible row order. A separate reference calculation and meaningful input/handler tests check the source, while actual browser and public-host verification are separate release steps.
